I have been researching hho generators & enhancers for 6 months.  I have a waterforgas dual enhancer and am almost finished a smack booster.  I just changed trucks and now have an '06 F-150 5.4L with the FFV (flex fuel) 3 valve/cylinder engine.  Do you know if a booster/enhancer will work in this truck or is the computer too “smart”.  I hope that I haven't been wasting my time.

Thanks

It should work on the MAF. Check these two wires to find out wish one is the signal tan/light blue and light blue/red.

Thanks and I will check them ASAP after the Gustav blows over in LA.  I also like the custom install that you did on the 4.6L and will probably do one like it in my f-150.  Looks like it belongs there.  Thanks again and I will post after I get the smack finished and install the enhancer.

The only thing that scares me is setting the enhancer too lean and messing up my engine.  I have the double enhancer and I was told to set it for city (under 40 mph) and hwy (over 40 mph).  From what I understand, you lean the engine until it starts begins to cut out then cut the hho gen. on and it should smooth out.  If not, then richen it slightly.  What do you recommend to ensure that I don't run the engine too lean and mess up something that I can't fix. LOL

The way I recommend doing it.

  • Keep your always on, it should only be off when the engine is not running.
  • Start your engine and when the engine is at operating temperature turn the enhancer on.
  • While driving the car/truck and listening to the engine start lowering the settings to lean the mixture. If you hear the engine pinging, your engine is too lean, go up a little. The spot is between the engine pinging and not pinging, also make sure that your vehicle does not loose any power.

Final thoughts

The vehicle should not feel any different if it does keep adjusting the enhancer even if you only lower the setting one notch.

The more hho gas your produces the lower you can lower the settings.

Never turn the enhancer on while the engine is cold, your engine requieres a lot of gas to warm up. If you adjust the enhancer with the engine at normal operating temperature and then try to start the car/truck with the enhancer on while the engine is cold, the engine is going to run like s… and the risk of damaging it.

PS. Let me know how it goes with your install and if this helped you. When you finish make sure to send me some pics and data and I will post it here.

I appreciate the info. once again.  The smack instructions say to use SS electrical outlet blank covers and I thought that I would kick it up a notch and use stainless plates.  I cut the plates out of a 1/8″ SS sheet and then proceeded to drill the holes for the nylon rods.  Many jigsaw blades and approx. 6 drill bits later, I am heading to a machine shop to punch the holes out.  Sometimes better isn't always the right choice.  Anyway, I should get the holes punched this week and start assembling everything.  As soon as I get it together, I will take pics and send them prior to assembly and again after.  Thanks again and I will post again prob. next week.

Use the face plates.  They are working good for me.
