To test the , you will need a power source. The battery of your vehicle will do just fine as your power supply.

This test is for both MAP/MAF enhancers ( one or two knobs ).

The has 3 wires. If you purchased your from dtuls.com the color of the wires are normally green (ECM), red (MAP/MAF), and black (ground). You will connect the red (MAP/MAF) wire to the positive terminal of the power source and the black (ground) wire to the negative terminal of the power source. Now connect the green (ECM) wire to the positive lead of your voltage meter with the voltage meter in DC volts setting. If you are using the vehicle battery as a power source, the reading in the factory setting in your should be the same voltage as the voltage of the vehicle battery.

You will need to repeat this next step if you purchase the two knobs .

Next, switch the setting to the enhanced setting with the knob in the position 10. The voltage should be the same as the factory setting and the voltage should go down, as the knob is turned to the position 0. However, the voltage will never go to 0v. If the voltage goes to 0v, then the unit that you purchased does not have the specifications. Obviously, because you are using 12v, the voltage reading at the 0 position will be higher than if you were using less voltage as a power source.
